The problem
Buying from someone you have never met is a gamble. Buyers worry the goods will never arrive. Sellers have learned not to trust a screenshot that says “I’ve sent the transfer”. Most deals either fall through or rely on blind trust.
Sentinel wanted a neutral middleman that anyone could use in under a minute, without learning a new app first.
What we built
We built the escrow flow end to end: a web platform, iOS and Android apps, and a WhatsApp assistant that can set up a deal from a single message.
- The buyer pays Sentinel, not the seller, and both sides can see the money is secured.
- The seller ships knowing payment is already locked in.
- The buyer confirms delivery and the funds are released.
- If something goes wrong, either side raises a dispute in the same chat and the support team steps in.
Where it is now
Sentinel Escrow is live on the web, the App Store and Google Play. People can run a full protected deal from WhatsApp without downloading anything.
